After the tragic earthquake and tsunami destroyed much of Japan’s economy, no one can ever question the integrity and determination of the Japanese. They are stoic, yes but they are also disciplined, respectful, and hardworking. It made more sense to buy Japan used cars because once again, any doubts are erased about the workmanship that goes into a Japanese product. To buy Japan used cars would mean you can safely and securely go on the road, drive for miles, and not have to worry about fuel consumption, breakdowns, or highly priced car parts.

While it is true that after the March disaster, Japan’s economy took a massive blow especially in the manufacturing industries, they immediately began to work on changing their destiny. It was imperative to do this since the 23% of the economy relies on the consumer and automotive industries.

After the earthquake, Honda and Toyota shut down their factories. After taking stock of their situation and moving some of the work to other locations, they began to slowly pick up the pieces and resume production. Companies like Nissan, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, and Mazda suspended operations temporarily but got back on track soon after the earthquake because their plants were not badly damaged. Their major concern was car parts, as was the concern of many other businesses around the world relying on these companies for spare parts.

The impact on the world as far as car production was concerned is the slowdown in output. This is because these companies generally only keep a 90 day inventory plus the fact that basic needs such as electricity and water was compromised.

This year the Japanese car sales which usually grew at 20% last year is seen as to have a low 12% growth. Toyota had to raise prices by 1.5% starting in October. Raw materials costs have gone up together with expenses in rebuilding plants and facilities.

In addition, with the rising cost of fuel, more consumers are turning to scooters and motorcycles instead of cars. They are also spending more on maintenance or buying used cars instead of adding additional burden to their struggling budget.

After the March earthquake and tsunami in Japan, there was a major scramble to find alternative electronic parts for the major industries in the country. Two of the most affective industries were the automotive and consumer sectors which contribute a huge chunk to Japan’s economy. Japanese technology has always been regarded as highly effective, innovative, and reliable. Japan has the respect of the world not just because of their enduring spirit, but also because of Japanese technology.

The disruption from the disaster caused everything to go up and many Japanese firms either shut down, decreased work force, or went on shortened work weeks. Some of the component parts that were severely affected were Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM) parts NAND flash memory parts, microchips and microcontrollers, LCD panel displays which includes materials and parts, among many others.

Some firms chose to get their parts from Korea, Taiwan, France, which has a good record in quality control and standards. Other companies decided to ride out the problem and try to manage. Most companies who rely on Japanese parts were willing to use up existing inventory and depend on the Japanese strength of being able to bounce back. One reason for this decision was because the prices of many parts rose by as much as 20%. By holding out until the prices stabilize again would mean a possible drop in production but no issues with quality or the performance of the finished products.

Some of the Japanese companies who have either closed down plants or slowed down on their production output are Toshiba and their NAN flash memory chips, microprocessors, and image sensors; Texas Instruments with 2 plants in Japan also makes computer chips; Hynix which manufactures wafer parts; auto manufacturing firms like Toyota, Honda, Nissan; and Sumitomo, to name just a few.

According to Renault-Samsung, a company that manufactures the Nissan Almera and Sunny, the disruption will affect their sales because they rely for Japan to supply them with 10% of the required components. A spokeman from Renault-Samsung says, ”So far we are doing fine but should the crisis be prolonged, it would cause an emergency.”

Precision metal stamping is basically the process of engraving text or symbols on metals or alloys, a combination of two or more metals. Precision metal stamping is an art that has been perfected over the years with constant effort and research. This activity is undertaken when a company manufactures metal products and wishes to engrave its name on the products produced, either for identification or for marketing purposes. An example would be a company that manufactures T-Irons that are used to support roofs.

It is only natural and reasonable for a company to invest in better and improvised techniques of precision metal stamping owing to the fact that if accuracy and clearness of the text is not made available, the exercise will most probably fetch much low results than what is expected of it. For instance, if the sole concern of a manufacturer is to have an excellent looking finished piece of metal with the company name and details neatly engrossed upon it to make a perfect fit, then, any errors or omissions on the part of the machine will undoubtedly spoil the taste and effect of the stamping.

So, new techniques have been crafted out of the process, using human ingenuity to turn circumstances to its advantage and desire. Numerous techniques have been designed to improve the accuracy of the stamping procedure, thereby improving it manifold.

Precision metal stamping offers a unique way of depicting the brand image of the subject company and any company that exercises such an effort is respected and liked by buyers in the market for products made by it. It is a practice that might well bring out favorable results for the company in terms of goodwill which, in turn, improves the overall worth of the company as against competitors in the market.

Bikes and cars have always had a competition between themselves, as to which is the vehicle makes more sense when it comes to traveling. Both kinds of vehicles have their advantages and disadvantages. However, there are some companies and models that stand tall above other bikes, as well as cars – like the Harley Davidson. Here are some reasons why Harley Davidsons are more fun than cars.

#1 Arnold Schwarzenegger rode it in the Terminator:

Think about it. Even if Arnold Schwarzenegger rode a Humvee in the original dirt road chase sequence, it would not have had such an impact as him saving the kid and the world with a sawed off shotgun and a Harley Davidson. Therefore, every time you ride the Harley Davidson, you are giving a nod to the God of machismo – Arnold Schwarzenegger. So, that is just one of the many reasons why a Harley Davidson is better than a car.

#2 You get to wear Leather Jackets

A Harley Davidson would still be a Harley Davidson without a leather jacket, but a leather jacket would lose its sheen without a Harley Davidson. Owning a Harley Davidson is your perennial license to wear leather jackets, which have some advantages too. You will begin to pay more attention to your physique. Who knows, you might actually lose some pounds because you wanted to get into that leather jacket that you bought to wear with your Harley Davidson.

#3 Harley Davidsons is legendary quality:

Whether it is Wolverine or Arnold Schwarzenegger, these characters have used Harley Davidsons because it is the epitome of rugged quality and consistency. It can be said that one will not find such quality even in some of the budget cars that are available today.

#4 You become one with your wild side:

While the Harley Davidson has long been related to biker gangs, etc. you do not need to be a biker gang member to own a Harley Davidson. Many men will tell you that owning and riding a Harley Davidson is the best way for them to connect with their masculine side.

In the end, you should realize that the Harley Davidson is a class apart. If you are riding a Harley, you are not riding a bike, but a piece of history. The Harley Davidson may be the most famous two wheeler in the world, and is one of the few bikes that have a fanbase – a very large, global fanbase – events, etc. Therefore, it makes complete sense to buy and use an Harley, as compared to a car.

Honda is an extremely well-known car brand. They are known for their quality and reliability. With that being said, it should be no surprise that there are many Honda used vehicles being sold today. Some of the popular used Honda models include the Honda Civic, the Honda Accord, and the Honda CR-V. All three of these models are very nice, dependable vehicles.

The Honda Civic is a compact car that comes in both sedan and coupe style. These vehicles are one of the more reliable Honda used vehicles. A used Honda Civic is said to have minimal problems and has an exceptional reliability rating. As far as safety is concerned, a used Honda Civic gets good ratings all across the board.

The Accord is a mid-sized car manufactured by Honda. It is another popular vehicle that is purchased used. These cars are stylish and very roomy. Aside from that, they are said to be very reliable. The safety of a Honda Accord is not an issue. The safety aspects of this vehicle rate very well. It’s no wonder many people who are in search of a Honda used vehicle often end up deciding to purchase a Honda Accord.

The Honda CR-V is a very stylish compact sport utility vehicle. It has gone through some changes over the years since it’s original debut in the year 1997. It has had its most recent re-vamp in the year 2007. It did, however, receive some updates in the year 2010. The Honda CR-V is actually one of the best-selling SUV’s on the market today. The CR-V exudes reliability and safety even as a used vehicle.

As you can see, Honda produces some really great vehicles. They are known for their abundant sales of used vehicles. Their vehicles maintain reliability and safety as used vehicles should. These vehicles are also very easy to maintain. It is also great to know that all of the Honda used vehicles are easily affordable for pretty much anyone. That is great to know with the economy today. So, with safety, reliability, and affordability; choosing a Honda used vehicle for your next vehicle purchase should be at the top of your considerations.

Harley Davidson bikes are an icon of American History and legend and are known for the quality of their craftsmanship.

Harley Davidson bikes are mostly popular with the forty and onwards age group. However, their popularity might increase over time with the addition of the younger age group in to the customer base. Harley Davidson Bikes are very popular the world over. However, many people, me included, while appreciating the make and built of Harley Davidson, prefer sports bike such as from Honda or Suzuki because of their association with the modern era. Although elegantly built, Harley Davidson bikes represent American History are hence portray an old image of motor biking, probably one reason why they are popular in the forty plus age group as by that age, motor bikers probably have had their own taste of bikes developed and opt out for a Harley Davidson.

To cover costs and cut expenditure, some parts of Harley Davidson bikes are made overseas, notably Japan, as the popular giant has expanded and started functioning overseas. This is bound to bring about considerable reductions in overall expenditure as American labor gets to be more and more expensive to hire overtime, coupled with American Law that levies additional taxes especially on luxury goods, Harley Davidson Bikes being one of them.

There are a number of Japanese manufacturers who produce various parts for the famous motorbike such as its grips, clutches, shock absorbers et cetera. These manufacturers include:

World Motor Life Corp. Japan.

Harley-Davidson Japan K.K.

These are a few manufacturers from Japan, the strength of whom may increase with the increase in the demand of these bikes, probably some while after the current inflation crisis that has engulfed the whole world is over and after people make savings and start looking towards luxury goods.

If you don’t have a car of your own, and don’t want to buy a used bus, a great alternative is to own and ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle. In order to ride a Harley, however, there are many skills that would be beneficial to have. Some skills are a necessity in order to ride a Harley safely.

The biggest thing to focus on is safety. You want to be aware of your surroundings at all times. You want to constantly keep your eyes on the road. You want to be aware of the vehicles around you. You also want to be sure you maintain a safe speed. If you’re riding in groups, be sure to keep a safe distance between yourself and the other riders.

Aside from safety, you also need to know how to ride a Harley. You want to educate yourself on what the best attire to wear while riding a Harley would be. You want to stay away from loose clothing. As far as learning how to ride a Harley goes, there are many beginners classes offered at a variety of different places. Harley Davidson shops even offer classes as well. The cost varies depending on where you decide to enroll in classes. You want to be sure you have a credible instructor who knows what they’re talking about.

Another very important thing you want to educate yourself on is how things work on the Harley. You will want to know all of the mechanics of the Harley. This way, if something goes wrong; you will have an idea as to what it is. This will also help you in the maintenance of your Harley. A Harley is just the same as any other vehicle as they do need regular, routine maintenance. This will keep your Harley running up to par.

As you can see, there are several different things that are vital to know in order to ride a Harley and ride it well. Most of the skills necessary to ride will be taught in your new rider course. However, you can also learn from friends and other fellow riders. The attire necessary to ride for safety purposes including helmets can be learned at your local retailers that sell the necessary items. Maintenance could possibly be taught in your classes, but you can also learn from other riders as well as mechanics who work on Harleys.

It may be overwhelming when you consider all of the aspects necessary to be a skilled Harley rider. However, if you utilize the resources available to you; you’ll be a skilled rider in no time at all.

“Harleys”, as they are called for short, have been easily noticed cruising around on American highways for over a century. Harley-Davidson motorcycles were first built in 1903 in a Milwaukee backyard shed by William Harley and Andrew Davidson in 1903. Harley-Davidson motorcycles are mass-produced heavy bikes made for cruising and are known for their unique sound. Harleys are particularly known for the chopper-style motorcycle sound.

Harley-Davidson Japan was established in 1989. The most popular model in Japan is the Sportster, followed by the Touring and Softail groups. Because of its long history in Japan, most Japanese probably think of HD as being very big, expensive motorcycles, a luxury item. The average aged group (40-41) accounts for around 40% of the harley users. After that, about 30% are in their 30s, 25% in their 50s and the rest in their 20s. 7-8% women are also the users of this bike. By now hardly anyone in South Dakota is surprised when a half-million bikers, a good many on Harley-Davidsons, roar into the Black Hills each August for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Begun in 1938, the event has become a pilgrimage for motorcyclists who trek in for a week of summer revelry, celebrating with like-minded riders, touring natural wonders like the Badlands and admiring national symbols like Mount Rushmore. A typical Harley-Davidson customer would be one earning an average of 78,000 $ per year. They would most probably be riding a $16,000 motorcycle which is the average cost for Harley’s cruiser. Obviously, the bike is intended for above-average customers.

Especially the sportster and the touring group are the users of harley bikes in Japan. Harley in Japan attracts older and more affluent riders than usual, no surprise because the bikes and accessories are costly. In Japan’s rapidly aging society, older people are spending more time on leisure pursuits, and motorcycle touring fits that trend. The Japanese have also taken to Harley’s network of owners’ groups that travel together, and swap parts and repair tips.

“These bikes are expensive in Japan, so people think we have families, homes and understand quality,” said Jun Toda, 50, a trading company executive from Tokyo. Masaaki Iwashita, 55, bought his first Harley, a blue and white Softail Deluxe with whitewall tires, after he retired from an insurance company two years ago. Like many Japanese retirees, Mr. Iwashita wanted to find a community of people who share his passion, so he joined the Harley riders’ club near his home in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Harley has a burnished image even with Japanese who do not ride motorcycles. Several riders at the festival said that innkeepers and restaurant owners routinely welcomed them when they toured the country. Clubs and events organized by HOGs (Harley Owner Groups) have created a loyal community in many countries.

What the world’s first motorcycle was depends on your point of view. Frenchman Michaux-Perreaux’s built a steam bicycle in 1868 followed by American Sylvester Howard Roper (1823-1896), who invented a steam engine powered two wheeled vehicle in 1867. If, however you can’t accept a steam powered engine as being part of a motorcycle proper, then German inventor, Gottlieb Daimler built his gas-engine bike in 1885 and with it marked a moment in history where a viable gas powered engine and what would become the modern bicycle combined.

The first vehicle to be called a motorcycle (“Motorrad”, in German) and the world’s first production motorcycle was the Hildebrand Wolfmüller. Up until World War I the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world was Indian, who produced over 20,000 bikes a year. By 1920 Harley Davidson had taken over with their bikes being sold in 67 countries worldwide.
